I love to paint real pets — especially ones I see around Brooklyn on my daily walks. Whenever I spot a cat in a window that inspires me, I paint them and leave the original piece at the family’s doorstep as a little surprise. Most families reach out afterward, and I’ve even had the pleasure of meeting a few in person. The project has helped me feel more connected to my community and the people (and pets) who make it special.
